EMPEROR ROSKO

Emperor Rosko was born Mike Pasternak, son of Hollywood producer Joe Pasternak. He grew up in Beverly Hills, listening to deejays like Wolfman Jack, Rosko Mercer, Emperor Hudson and Tom Donahue. He began his career in the Navy, and has been on the air on two continents but is probably best known for his stint on Pirate Radio. The newly-crowned Emperor began broadcasting from Radio Caroline, a ship off the coast of England, in 1964 and immediately began making waves, becoming one of the station’s most popular deejays. He was the inspiration for “The Count” (Philip Seymour Hoffman) in the 2009 film “Pirate Radio”. Check him out at www.EMPERORROSKO.net
