DAVID CROSBY

David Crosby was born in Los Angeles. His dad was an award-winning cinematographer, and David was a drama major before dropping out of college to pursue music. Lucky for us…and the music world. Besides his solo career, Crosby is a founding member of two of rock’s most iconic bands – The Byrds and Crosby, Stills and Nash (later Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young). He was also present at some of the most iconic festivals. In 1967, he performed at the Monterey Pop Festival with the Byrds, and filling in for Neil Young with Buffalo Springfield the next night. Crosby Stills and Nash’s second concert with Neil Young was at Woodstock , and later that year they played  Altamont. Crosby has collaborated with world-renowned artists including Phil Collins, Elton John and Jerry Garcia. Known as a cannabis connoisseur, was also the owner of  David Crosby’s Might Croz Cannabis. Crosby died from complications from Covid-19 on January 18, 2023.

Always politically active, we caught up with David in 2006 during CSNY’s Freedom of Speech tour.
